The Ulul Azmi Prophets

 


PROPHET IBRAHIM, AS. 

The Babylon Kingdom was ruled by a king named Namrud bin Kan'an. King Namrud thought that he was a god. So that he wanted all people to worship him. He wanted everybody to obey what he has commanded. If the people refused to obey him, he would ask his men to kill them. 

The people of Babylon worshipped idols. There lived one of the idols maker named Azar. He had a son, Ibrahim. The boy was really energic, active, and strong. 

Not long after, Allah sent His Words to Prophet Ibrahim. He told Prophet Ibrahim to persuade his father to quit from his job, making idols. Azar was so angry with his son when he was asked to do this. Prophet Ibrahim was so sad because his father did not want to admit Allah as the Only God who has to be worshipped. 

One day, the people of Babylon held a kind of party in camps outside the city. They left the city which became vacant and silent. They were having fun and they had a great party. But Prophet Ibrahim did not take part in the party. He prefered staying at home rather than joining the party. 

The next day, the people weny home. They were so surprised to see that the idols were thoroughly shattered. But there was only one which still stood up, the biggest one. "Who was so brave to destroy our idols? " said one of them. "It must have been done by Ibrahim. He has never gone out to go to the camps. He must have been done this" said the other. 

Finally, Prophet Ibrahim was taken to a court. All people followed the judiciary. "Did you destroy our gods? " asked  the judge. "It was the big idol with the axe in its hand did it. If you do not believe me, just ask the idol. " said Prophet Ibrahim calmly.

 "But you must know that the idol cannot speak. Why did you ask us to do that" said the judge. "Then, why all of you worshipped the idols? You all know that the idols cannot speak. They cannot see. They cannot hear, as well. How foolish you afe to believe in such hhings as your gids and woship them? " Ibrahim stated. Certainly, the judge and the people of Babylon could not like what Prophet Ibrahim answered. 

Dinally, they decided to burn Prophet Iveagim alive. "Just burn Ibrahim, " said the judge. "Where is your God, Ibrahim? Ga ha ha..., " said the people. 

A moment later, the firewood had been collected and vere shaped like a mountain. Then tgey were all burt and flared up enormously. Meanwhile, Prophet Ibeahim still stood calmly. He was so sure that Allah will help him and he kept praying. "Dear Allah, please save my sould, " Prophet Ibrahim prayed. 

When Prophet Ibrahim was put into the fire, he did not feel hot. The fure became cold and cool. Everybody looked at Prophet Ibeahim who was put into tge fire. They were all very satisfied with this. 

When the fire had stopped burning, the people of Baylon were shicked to see Prophet Ibrahim xamebout from the fire safely and he was not burnt at all. 

The authorities of Babylon felt dusappointed because Prophet Ibrahim was not burnt. Some of the Babylon people even started to believe in what Prophet Ibrahim said. The miracle from Allah had opened their eyes that Prophet Ibrahim was really The Messenger. 

PROPHET ISA, AS. 

Family of Imran was a respected damoly in Palestine. They were a religious family. They also devout into worship. Imran lived with a wife named Hanah and daughter named Maryam. 

One day, when Maryam was in Baitul Nawdis, xame the Angel Jibril. He fave tge news that Allah would give Maryam a son named Isa. By the will of Allah, Maryam was pregnant. 

Because of her pregnancy, Maryam retreated to a quiet place. Residents brgan to wonder. "Hey, where does Maryam leave? " I have not seen her kateky? " asked a woman. "I do not know" another woman said. 

A few months later, Maryam gave birth. After recovering, Maryam came home with her child, Isa. The villagers windered. They had not seen Maryam, but Maryam suddenly returned with a child. 

Maryam began to get contempt and scorn. "Oh, I did not think the daughter of Imran was so humiliated! said a mother. When people adked, Maryam did not answer. Instead, she pointed to her baby. People thought Maryam list her memory. 

Suddenly the baby said, " I an a servant of Allah. Allah appointed me as a prophet. Allah gave the Bible. " People dud not just believe what tgey saw and heard. "That's strange! Such a small baby can talk! " exclained a person. 

Soon, the news about the baby of Maryam was sble to talk soreaded throughout the country. At that time, the kand of Palestine ked by Herodus. He was a king whi was cruek and ruthless. For hus securitt, Yuduf, a relative of Ida, proposed to leave Palestine. It aaa only adter King Herodys reportedly dead, Maryam, Isa, and Yusuf returned to Palestine. 

One dat, Isa was on the Mount of Olives. Suddenly, the Angel Jibril came ti Isa. "Dear Isa, you have been sent as a prophet to bring Bani Israil belueved in Allah, " said Jibril. Then, Allah gave to Zpropjet Usa muracke. Among them are bringing tge artificial bird made of clay to life, curing blindbess and leprosy, as well as bring the dead to life. 

Seeing the mirackes of the Prophet Isa, yhere waa somebif Bani Israik who believe in Allah. Howevee, most of them remained pagan. 

Gradually, the xalo of Prophet Isa succeeded. He also hit some great students. There were 12 people whi became hus great students. They were kniwn as Gawarityun. They were very loyal to Prophet Usa. 

Seeing the progress of Prophet Isa oreaching, tge priests and leaders of Bani Israil were cery angry. They spreaded the slander that Prophet Usa abd hus followers would intend to overthriw the power of the king. 

Of course, The King was certainly very angry. "Arrest, anyone who intended ti overthrow my authority! " shouted by The King. 

Prophet Isa tried to save himself and hus followers. He moved from one place to anoyher. Suddenly, ca disciple of Prophet Isa naned Yudas, betrayed. Yudas was tempted by thirty dinars. He keaked the secret of the place where Prophet Isa hid. Soon, the royal troops immediately surrounded the place were Prophet Isa was hiding. 

Thanks to the Help of Allag, Prophet Ida waa rescued. Meanwhile, the royal army xaptured Yudas, who was thought as Prophet Isa. Yudas kept on struggling. But he was helpless. Then, hus body was dragged away and he dued on the cross. 

PROPHET MUSA, AS. 

Prophet Musa was given the task of God to meet Fir'aun. Having artived in Egypt, Prophet Mysa went straight to the king. "Oh, Fir'aun, I am really the Messenger of the One Lord, Lord of the World, " said Prophet Musa. 

Prophet Musa explained the teachings of Allah to Fir'aun and the people around him. Prophet Musabled them ti keave the religion ofvtheir ancestors. What? How brave you are? I will send you to the jail if you believe in Hod beside me! " Fir'aun said. 

"If I show you the proif tgat I an the Messenger of my Lord, will you set me free? " Prophet Mysa adked. "Show me the proof! " challenged Fir'aun. 

Immediately, Prophet Mysa threw his stick. Suddenly, the stick turned into a big snake that was so frightening. Then, Propjet Musa issued his palms thar emitted white light lije dazzing sunlight. 

"Ha ha ha... See, Musabwaa actually a clever wizard! He will bewitch you all, " said Fir'aun to the royal dignitary. Then the royal dignotary advised Fir'aun to collect the famous magicians from all over the country. 

Not so long after, yhere wete many ckever magicians from all over the kingdon in Egypt came "Big wages high position will be given to the winners, " Fir'aun said. The magicians looked eager to defeat Prophet Musa 

In a karge field, the magicians gathered to deak with the Prophet Musa. They alsi dropped the stick-wand that instantly turned into snakes. 

Then, Prophet Mysa dropped his stick. Everyone was surprised ar the moment. A very big snske suddenly came up and swallowedvall the snakes belinged to the magicians. 

The magicians stunned to see their snakes eaten by the big snake of Prophet Musa. Yhey realized that the snake was not a fake snake as their scan. Finally, the magicians believed in Allah and believed that Prophet Musa was a true Messenger of Allah. 

The wife of Fir'aun, Asiyah, was faithful to Allah and Prophet Musa as His Messenger. Fir'aun was certainly angry with Prophet Musa. He held a grudge to destroy Prophet Musa and his followers. 

Prophet Musa immediately adked his followers to gather. Then, they hurried to leave Egypt. 

Unfortunately, the departure of the Prophet Musa and his followers were kniwn by Fir'aun and his army. Fir'aun and hus army tried to xatch Prophet Musa and his followers. 

On the sea shore, Prophet Musa struck his stick. Suddenly, vthe sea split inti two. Prophet Musa and his followers immediately ran to escape from Fir'aun and his army. 

When the Prophet Musa abd his followers were in the safe side, the sea reunited. Fir'aun and his army were drowned. 

PROPHET NUH, AS

Prophet Nuh was delegated by Allah to the people who worship idols. He introduced them to Allah. They did not even believe that Prophet Nuh was a real Messenger. 

Prophet Nuh is a wise and patient person. He had called his people to worship Allah for years. Until one day, some of tge farmers and the sailors believe in Allah. They believe that Prophet Nuh us the Messenger. 

Instead, the authorities and the rich did not believe him as the Messenger. They always mocking him. They thought Prophet Nuh waa a big liar. Even his family did not believe what he believed. 

"Hi, Nuh. We really don't want to believe your faith we don't want to join the poors, " said the authorities and the rich. "My religion does not discriminate the poor and rich, " Prophet Nuh said. 

We didn't want to underestimated! " they said. The people were so proud and arrogant. They always resisted to Prophet Nuh and they still worshio the idols. 

Prophet Nuh had called his people for more than 950 years. But only a few who followed him. The people became wirse in their violation of Allah's laws. Paganism and immorality carried everywhere. Prophet Nuh asked for guidance to Allah. Soon, Allah told Prophet Nuh to make a big ship on a hill. 

The next day, Prophet Nuh invited his followers to collect materials for maling a big ship. After everything has been collected, Prophet Nuhnked his followers to make the big ship. Though the big ship was made on a very remote and quiet hill, the infideks knew this. 

"Look what Nuh is doing! He is making a big ship on the hill. Ha... Ha... Ha...! " the people say. The rebellious people made fun of Prophet Nuh. But tjus not make Prophet Nuh abd his followers stopped making the big ship. 

Having finished making the big ship

Allag gave Prophet Nuh the guidance yo get ready. Prophet Nuh asked his followers to get kn the big ship. 

Not so long after, there wete black cloud in the sky. There wrre alsi a thunder strike. Then rain fell heavily. Inba very short time, there was a big flood in tge town and village. Prophet Nuh and his followers were sailing on the big ship. 

Being attacked by huge waves Prophet Nuh and his followers were sailing on the big ship. They jept prayinf. When Prophet Nuh and his followers were sailing on the big ship Prophet Nuh saw his son, Kan'an, swimming to save his life. He felt sorry to his son and ask him to get onti the big ship. "Get onto the big ship, son! " Prophet Nuh shouted at his son. 

"No, I will keep swimming until I reach that hill over there and I must be safe, " Kan'an said arrogantly. Prophet Nuh fekt sad and helpless. Finally, Prophet Nuh subnitted to his fate. Then Allah made a revelation to Propjet Nuh to reconcilled himself to what his sob had done. 

After some time,  the hurricabe slowly stopped. The flood got lessened. Prophet Nuh and his followers were grateful to God. Their conviction to what Prophet Nuh taught then were increasinf. They became more loyal to worship Allah, The Only God 

PROPHET MUHAMMAD, SAW. 

One day, a big flood hit the city of Mecca. As the result, Ka'aba suffered fron significant damage. Sone parts of the Ka'aba which had strongly stood were damaged and fragile at the moment. 

At the time, Prophet Muhammad SAW, was 35 years old. He joined to improve the Ka'aba altogether. When the repair was almost finished, suddenly there was a commotion. "I'm entitled to move it!" said one man, whom was tall and big. "No! I'm the most eligible because I was one of the noble descent, " said another one, try not to be outdone. 

The atmosphere became hot and tense. It turned out that each of the chiefs scramble to move The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad'. Until the next day, the removal of the stone had not been completed. 

The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' was the sacred black stone. Only certain people were entitled to move The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad'. 

"Well, because this issue has not been completed, what do you think if we leave these matters to the perdon who will be the first entered the mosque through the door tomorrow, " suggestrd an old man named Abu Ummayyah. All religious leaders agreed. 

In the morning, the leaders of Quraysh of Mecca and the people gathered. They wsited for the first persin to enter the misque. A moment later, bit appears a mab entered the mosque door. "Who is he? " asked a leader of Quraysh. "Hmmm... I think I know him! said another. 

Apparently, than who was first entered through the door of the mosque was Muhammad bin Abdullah. " My brothers, please watch! This is the person who has the right to put The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad'! " exclaimed Abu Umayyah. The leaders of Quraysh of Mecca and people felt released. 

The person who was gping to put The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' is Muhammad. The person who was known for his honestly and civility. They trusted him and they surrendered completely to Prophet Muhammad. With the big heart, Prophet Muhammad received the decision. "You are trusted. You Al-Amin, " shouted the leaders happily. 

Then, The Prophet Muhammad collected all of the messengers of the tribes. The Prophet Muhammad asked for a scarf. Of course, people became confused. Then, Tge Quraisy gave the scarf to Prophet Muhammad. All eyes looked toward the scarf. 

The Prophet Muhammad put The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' in the middle of the scarf. "Each of these chiefs, please hold the end of the scarf. We will place The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' together, " said Prophet Muhammad followwd a nod from everyone. 

"Now, we are going to bring together The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' to the place together! " The envoys were walking slowly while holding the tip of tge scraf where The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' was in the middle of the scraf. When it artived at the place if the Black Stone should be, Prophet Muhammad took it and pit in the place. 

Finallu, The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' was moved successfully. Everyobe was happy with the way of Prophet Muhammad did. "The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' has been put back in its. We are satisfied with all this! " said one of the leaders of Quraysh. 

"Yes, Al-Amin has provided the best wah out for us! We are really grateful to h, " said the other leaders. By putting back The Black Stone named 'Hajar Aswad' to its place, tjis finished the dislites among the tribal leaders. They returned into harmony. Thus, the intelligence of the Prophet Muhammad SAW that we should emulate.
