Running Dictation
Put some piece of papers on the wall, i.e. Justin Bieber song, a student reads and other student writes (competition with the others).
- We need: 6 volunteers, 3 copies of a text, tape, wall, pen, paper, timer/watch.
- Instruction: work in pairs, 1 person will sit at the desk. The other person will run to read the text, then run back and dictate it to their partner. The partner will write down the text.
- The first person to write down the entire text correctly Wins!
Other fun activities and tips:
Journal writing, listening to music, singing songs, drama) role play/characters, visual aids and drawing, active games, pictures/question of the week, use outside resources, stand if, presentations, posters/brochures.
