Verbal sentence

 1. I am like my father.(saya mirip ayah)

2. I like my father.(saya suka ayah)

What is the difference between the above sentence?

The first sentence is nominal but the second one is verbal. The pattern:

Nominal: subject + be (is, am, are, was, were)

Verbal: subject + verb (not to be)
