Hamburger Paragraph

Have you ever eaten Hamburger? A soft bread with beef, cheese  and vegetables. There is the same arrangement between hamburger and paragraph, three important parts are top bun-cheese, lettuce, tomato-bottom bun. In a paragraph, the top bun as Introduction, content as Detaild, and bottom bun as Conclusion. 

INTRODUCTION

The function is to introduce a topic to readers what we are writing to. Introduction consists of two parts, namely: topic and controlling idea. Topic contains what we want to tell. Controlling idea is all we want to write about the topic. 

Example: 

I will write about studying abroad. (WRONG). The topic is studying abroad but there is no controlling idea. 

Studying abroad has two main benefits. 

DETAILS

In details, we can write reasins, example, experience, etc. that support Introduction. 

Example:

People get a better job when they return home. (1st supporting idea). 

Better qualifications and experiences mean better pay and promotion. (explain) 

Now they have s high standard of living. (result) Students gain independence because of the experience. (2nd supporting idea) 

Students have to cope with the challenge of living alone and meeting new people from different cultures. (explain) 

Students will become more confident in their life and relationships. (result) 

CONCLUSION

To sum the important point from paragraphs. 

Example:

All in all, it is clear that studying abroad is beneficial experience.

When it comes to animals, digs are great pets. Dogs csn help both elderly people and children with their daily life. Because dogs are so active, they can be the great buddies for exercise. There are many different dogs from the really big to the small ones. You can train your dog yourself or send it to school in order to make it obedient. Dogs are loyal and reliable animals that people have had as pets for hundreds of years. 

A. One of my hobbies is listening to international

music. 

B. I have a collection of world music recordings. 

C. I enjoy going ti the concerts by musicians from different countries. 

A. I enjoy the parties and celebrations of summer holiday. 

B. I enjoy going shopping in a hot weather. 

C. I really like summer holiday. 

A. When you explore Yogyakarta by foot, you csn experience all the city has to offer. 

B. When you walk, you can experience different smells of the street foods or you can meet friendly local people. 

C. In a car or a bus, you cannot stop easily when you see something interesting because parking is difficult.
