Recount text tells about past experience, i.g.: diary, biography and Autobiography.
Social function is to tell events for the purpose of informing or entertaining.
Generic structure:
1. Orientation: introducing characters, place, time (who, where, and when)
2. Events: cronological or sequenced events
3. Re-orientation: ending the events.
I remember the time I started school when I was five. There was a little boy called Erick in the same class. He used to pull my hair when the teacher was not looking. One day I hit him in the head with a book. You know, he began cry! The teacher was angry with me. He said, "Little girls don't do things like that. " But since then Erick never pulled my hair again.
