  Narrative is a story that might be a fiction (an imagination story) or non-fiction (a real story). The purpose (social functions: To entertain or amuse the readers or listeners. To teach a lesdon, like knowing right or wrong.  To present the story of human actions in such a way that they are perceived by the audience  to be true.  The steps in a narrative: Orientation:  It introduces the characters and setting. It contains about WHO were involved in the story, WHEN and WHERE.  Complication:  It presents the problems or conflict in the story. It contains a problem which arises followed by other problems. Complication explores the conflict in the story. It shows the rising crisis or rising action, and climax of the story.  Resolution:  It is the sokution of the problem or the ending of the story.
